Poker tournaments online

Before starting the list of the main types of poker tournaments online, it is necessary to know that some are held in small groups while others combine unlike many players and have on several tables at once : a phenomenon known as multi-table or sometimes MTT. In the latter case, all players have the same number of chips at the start and are dispatched on different tables. The players of the table clash until that only one of them has won all bets. Then the winners of each table clash and then so on until only one winner. These are generally long tournament which begins at a specified time defined in advance regardless of the number of participants.
Knowing this, what are the types of tournaments that you can subscribe? There are 4 major types:
* The sit and go tournaments (SNG) is organized tournaments for players who want to start a party quickly. They generally include few participants (a dozen) around the table and that number is reached, the party begins. Games are quick, registration generally very low which makes it an ideal choice for beginners and fun not bet big. The gains depend on the number of participants, but are generally not high, it comes rather often to try their hand or make some parts sympas fast.
* Tournaments guaranteed tournaments whose earnings are guaranteed regardless of the number of participants. The winners are certain to obtain at least the amounts pledged. If there are more players than expected, the surplus is in addition to guaranteed prices.
* Tournaments Satellites: Tournaments that are specific in the sense that (s) winner (s) not won any money, or very low, but the place gets an entry for a bigger tournament which rewards this time are substantial. They are very popular because it is a good way to participate in poker tournaments and deemed financially attractive without paying fees. There are lots of beginners and it is therefore an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the atmosphere of multi-table tournaments.
* Freeroll tournaments: tournaments more popular since entry fee is required. They are free, but the amount of money to be funded by the poker room itself, is however real. The prices are often not exceptional but some poker freerolls hold time of more attractive financially. Note that some freeroll tournaments are sometimes private or reserved for specific players (Vip ... etc).
The specificities of these tournaments may vary from one poker room or event to another. Thus each of them may be:
* Rebuy: tournaments where you can buy chips during the game if you had the bad luck continued at the beginning. They talk about rebuy if you lose all your chips and departure add-on if you still but you want to increase your capital. At a certain stage of progress it is however possible to buy tokens.
* Freeze-out: tournament in which no rebuy or addon is allowed. The ever thus since you lost all the chips you had at the beginning of the game.
Finally, it may also find other alternatives:
* Tournament head to head (heads up): unlike the multi-table tournaments, which generally include many participants, here only two players compete in head to head. The winner is obviously the one who gets put his opponent at the end of the game.
* Turbo tournament: put here the beginning (the blinds) increase faster than normal and a good starting capital is required to follow. Risky, but may instead be financially attractive. A book for experienced players.
